Malpas Community Church to take musical worship mobile through mission grant

To support their musical and worship mission work, Malpas Community Church has been awarded £1,300 from the Synod Mission Grants Fund. This funding will go towards a PA system.

Marie Lumb, Church Secretary at Malpas Community Search, commented on this exciting mission opportunity: “Music is a big part of what we do. The mission grant funding will allow us to sing and worship at venues other than church, such as services at the local nursing home, school and also community and joint church events.”

Malpas recently celebrated one year since its music programme Buzz Off Ukes was established. This involves learning uplifting folk songs to play to the Community Church and residents of Prospect House and forms a large part of the church’s mission work. If you would be interested in joining them and would like to find out more, they meet from 10.45am, Sundays in the Upper Room of Malpas Community Church. There are plenty of spare ukuleles available and a great teacher too. Complete beginners or experienced players welcome. Further information is available on the Malpas Community Church Facebook page
