St John's Causeway Community Garden granted Coop funding

A community garden in the grounds of St John's URC has been awarded £2,288.00 from the Coop Membership Community Award Scheme.

Tracey McNaboe, Community Engagement & Outreach Worker at Elmwood Avenue & St John's United Reformed Churches, and Dennis Davies took part in a thank you presentation at the Latchford Coop.

The scheme supports projects in the local community that their Coop members care about. Every time our members buys selected Coop products and services,2p for every pound spent goes to the member as well as giving the same support to community organisations and local courses.

What is the Causeway Community Garden?

An award-winning community garden in the grounds of St John's URC. All are welcome to garden, enjoy, sit or chat. The garden is always open for anyone to enjoy, but we have regular gardening sessions if you want to come along and garden with others.

When do we meet?

You can come into the garden anytime. Our community gardening sessions are every other Saturday at 10.30am on Saturday for an hour or two. There is time to chat with tea and toast as well.  During the Winter months we run a monthly Indoor Session and you can find out our planned dates and more information from our Facebook page here
