A restful outdoor space for the community has been created by Parkgate and Neston URC and opened by Revd Geoff Felton, Moderator, The United Reformed Church, Mersey Synod, with the Mayor of Neston, Pat Kynaston and local Councillor Martin Barker.

He said: “It was my honour to spend Palm Sunday at Parkgate and Neston URC. I led worship, thanked three retired ministers who are now stepping down and opened the Community Jubilee Garden with the Mayor of Neston, Pat Kynaston and local Councillor Martin Barker. How wonderful to create this outdoor space for all to enjoy. I’m sure it will be a place of calm and peace, somewhere to go to sit and reflect.”

The garden is situated behind the Community Hall at Parkgate and Neston United Reformed Church, off Parkgate Road. It provides a place of restful beauty to be enjoyed by all and was inspired by the 70-year Jubilee of the late Queen Elizabeth ll and the 50 year Jubilee of The United Reformed Church.
