Pentecost: Bringing the Merseyside Region Together

On Pentecost Sunday Churches Together in the Merseyside Region (CTMR) gathered for the two Cathedrals walk.

Local Christians started at the Anglican Cathedral for an act of worship led by the Salvation Army band and the choirs of the two Cathedrals.

The visible sign of unity witnessed to Christ’s command to love one another and to be one.

Following the service in the Anglican Cathedral, members of the congregation and the general public were led by the Salvation Army band. They walked along Hope Street to Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral where they worshipped together led by the Melling Community Choir.

In a fragmented and broken world the event was a joyful expression of Christian unity.

Thank you to all those involved.
Revd Geoff Felton, Moderator of the URC Mersey Synod.
